(Washington, DC, September 13, 2006) — Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen is pleased to announce that the Virgin Islands Department of Health is scheduled to receive $250,000 in Bioterrorism funding form the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

This funding is part of the Bioterrorism- Hospital Preparedness Program. The program was designed to ready hospitals and supporting health care systems to deliver coordinated and effective care to victims of terrorism and other public health emergencies.
