		Congressman Gilchrest is the Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Fisheries Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans which oversees the management of our nation's fisheries. The committee also has jurisdiction over all wildlife refuges, including Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in the 1st Congressional District. Rep. Gilchrest is also a member of the Subcommittee on National Parks, Recreation and Public Lands.
	House Science Committee
		Congressman Gilchrest also serves on the House Science Committee as a member of the Subcommittee on Environment, Technology, and Standards.
	House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure
		As a member of the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, Rep. Gilchrest sits on both the Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation and the Subcommittee on Water Resources and the Environment.
