Also known as "the First County in the First State," New Castle County offers a variety of unique attractions and cultural experiences for citizens. Whether you are looking to enjoy a Blue Rocks Baseball game at Frawley Stadium or attend a show at the Grand Opera House, Delaware has something to offer everyone.

Many Delawareans enjoy touring the original duPont mills, estate and gardens at Hagley Museum & Library. Located on more than 230 acres of natural beauty, visitors experience a part of Delaware's history and culture through exhibits, restorations and live demonstrations.

The recently developed Riverfront Wilmington offers an array of delicious gourmet food, The Shipyard Shops and an enticing taste of history for residents and visitors.

If you are an athletic buff, come explore Delaware sports history from 1860 to present at the Delaware Sports Museum & Hall of Fame. Exhibits tell the story of many great First State athletes, coaches and officials.

Or perhaps your fancy is to watch the fighting Blue Hens at the University of Delaware. Situated in Newark, the main campus offers a traditional small-town college atmosphere with an impressive collection of educational resources.

For the artist, The Delaware Art Museum and the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts offer a variety of local, regional and national collections.
