Internships in Connecticut

Our internship program in Connecticut offers students firsthand experience in the operation of a Senate state office and the opportunity to examine how the state operation interacts with and enhances the legislative duties of Senator Lieberman. The state office is as important as the Washington office to the overall organization. The state office is the front line for constituents of Senator Lieberman. Constituent casework, military academy appointments, and public outreach are areas handled by the state office. Interns in the Connecticut office will have opportunities to participate in all of the state office functions.

As a rule, students must commit to work full-time during the summer. Fall and Spring applicants must commit to at least 8 hours per week, with preference given to those who can work longer hours.

Applications for Connecticut internships can be mailed to the Hartford office, or faxed to 860-549-8478, with originals to follow by mail. Please send us the following materials:

1. A printout of your application (click here).
2. Resume.
3. Writing sample.
4. One letter of recommendation.
5. A copy of your transcript.
