Senator Santorum Applauds Passage of the Secure Fence Act
September 29, 2006
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, today released the following statement after the Senate passed H.R. 6061, the Secure Fence Act:
“This is a great victory for the American people, our national security, and the effort to secure our nation’s borders. We have heard the same message from the American people – time and time again – secure the borders. My constituents are no different. As I travel across Pennsylvania I hear so many voices asking Congress to act now and stop the flood of illegal immigrants into this country. I am looking forward to taking this great news back home to my constituents.”
