U.S. Representative Dennis Cardoza is currently accepting applications for internships in his Washington, DC office and his Merced, Modesto and Stockton District offices. Applicants from the 18th Congressional District will receive first priority.

Intern responsibilities include greeting constituents and handling constituent phone calls, assisting staff with administrative tasks, conducting legislative research, and assisting with constituent correspondence.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume. The prospective interns should indicate what dates they would be available and why they wish to intern in a congressional office. Depending on availability, a brief phone interview may be necessary. Summer months fill particularly quickly and applicants should apply at their earliest convenience.
