Internship Program

Requirements:

  • Consult with your school’s intern coordinator regarding the applicability of course credits.
  • Research available housing in the DC metro area.  (The Committee does not provide housing.)
  • Determine a learning objective.
  • Submit a writing sample, resume and transcript to the Committee.
  • Schedule an interview (telephone interview is fine).
  • Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office).

How to Succeed in your Internship:

 DO 
  • Have a neat business-like appearance.
  • Be punctual. 
  • Use proper telephone etiquette.
  • Keep work area organized.
  • Be a self-starter.
  • Be a team player.
 DON'T  
  • Wear non-professional attire such as jeans, sneakers, etc.
  • Have repeated tardiness or absenteeism.
  • Make excessive personal phone calls.
  • Expect to change the world in one day!
