Key House Leaders Lend Support to Orlando's VA Hospital

Key House leaders issued the following statements today concerning plans for a new VA Hospital in Orlando:
"With 400,000-plus veterans in Metropolitan Orlando, there is a growing need for VA healthcare services based in the area," saidRep. Jim Walsh (NY-25), Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Quality of Life and Veterans Affairs. "I look forward to working with my House colleagues from Central Florida to appropriate needed resources for the beginning of construction of a new VA Medical Center in Orlando as the FY 2007 VA spending bill proceeds to conference."
"The Veterans' Affairs Committee recognizes the considerable needs of the veteran community in Central Florida," said, Rep. Henry Brown (SC-01), Chairman of the Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Health. "Congressman Keller and the Florida delegation are to be commended for their diligence in highlighting the importance of this project."
