Heather Montgomery

Heather Montgomery -- District Director

Heather Montgomery has been District Director for Congressman Brady since 1998  A former Chamber of Commerce executive and a former teacher she shares the Congressman's interest in economic and community development and his concern for education issues.  
 
Heather presently serves on the boards of Montgomery County United Way, chairing its Success By Six Leadership Committee and The Montgomery County Friendship Center   (The Committee for Aging).  She is a graduate of the Leadership North Houston Program where she later served as Chairman of its Board of Directors.  She serves on several of the 8th District chambers of commerce government affairs and transportation committees.
 
A thirty year resident of Texas, Heather is one of those Texans who got there as fast as she could and loves the Texas spirit and ingenuity.  She and her husband, Gary, live in The Woodlands.

Kimberly Thompson

Kimberly Thompson -- Legislative Director

Kimberly joined Congressman Brady’s staff in August 2006. Prior to joining the Brady Team, Kimberly worked as an international trade and government relations consultant in Washington, DC and served at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative under Ambassador Robert B. Zoellick. She oversees legislative policy for the Congressman, and handles all international trade issues. A native of Tennessee, Kimberly graduated with a B.A. in History from Vanderbilt University.

Jessica Peetoom

Jessica Peetoom -- Scheduler/Office Manager

Jessica joined Congressman Brady’s office in May 2005. Prior to joining the Brady team, Jessica worked in the private political consulting sector in Washington, DC and for the Texas House of Representatives in Austin. A native Texan, Jessica is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin having earned a B.A. in English and a minor in Government. Jessica coordinates Congressman Brady's Washington, D.C. schedule and serves as office manager for Washington operations.

Todd Stephens - Legislative Assistant

Todd Stephens -- Legislative Assistant

Todd joined Congressman Brady's office in January 2005. Prior to joining the Brady Team, Todd worked with as a bill drafter and committee staff for the Kentucky General Assembly. Todd currently handles a variety of issues for Congressman Brady including defense, homeland security, energy, environment, tax, and transportation. Todd holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Kentucky and a M.A. in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University.

Sarah Stephens

Sarah Stephens -- Press Secretary

Sarah joined Congressman Brady's office in March 2003.  Prior to joining the Brady Team, Sarah worked with Fox News in both the Washington, DC and New York bureaus.  A native of Richmond, Virginia, Sarah holds a B.S. in Government from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.  Sarah and her husband Todd live in Alexandria, Virginia.

Meril Markley

Meril Markley -- District Scheduler

Meril Markley joined Congressman Brady's staff in December of 2004 after more than 15 years as an attorney advising businesses on international tax and trade matters, particularly involving Europe and Latin America. She holds an undergraduate degree in Music from Vassar College, Certificates from the Music Academy in Vienna Austria where she was a Maguire Fellow, law degrees from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D.) and the Pacific/McGeorge School of Law (LL.M.). She is married to Michael Markley, an attorney and businessman. After years working in such far flung locales as Paris France, Hamburg Germany and Los Angeles California, for the last ten years, they have resided in The Woodlands, Texas.

Lydia Dameral

Lydia Damrel -- Congressional Field Representative (Orange, Tyler, Hardin, Newton, and Jasper counties)

Lydia Damrel has lived in Southeast Texas for over forty years and in Orange County since 1973. She graduated from Newton High School and attended Lamar University Beaumont.

Before joining Congressman Brady’s staff, Lydia worked in a number of different professional capacities in the private sector. Among her civic contributions are one of the original members of Golden Triangle Republican Women’s Club and member of the Azalea Garden Club in Vidor. Lydia has also served as a volunteer precinct chair and coordinated ballot security for fifteen different East Texas counties.

Always active in the community, Lydia looks forward to serving citizens in Orange, Hardin, Tyler, Jasper, and Newton counties as a Congressional Field Representative. In this position, Lydia’s goal is to give constituents a greater voice by being available to them near where they work and live.

Lydia enjoys sewing, shopping, swimming, music and reading. She and her husband Terry are both proud parents and proud grandparents, live in Vidor, and attend Ridgewood Church of Christ in Beaumont.

Colby Tiner

Colby Tiner -- Huntsville Field Representative

Colby Tiner joined Congresssman Brady's team in January 2006 as the Field Representative for the Huntsville Office. He graduated in December 2005 from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to attending SMU, he spend 4 years in the United States Air Forces as an intelligence analyst. Colby is originally from San Antonio, Texas and currently resides in Huntsville, Texas.

 

Janet Qureshi -- Director of Case Management

Janet has worked for Congressman Brady the last fourteen years.  As a Congressional Liaison she works with veterans and constituents who need assistance in Social Security, Medicare, Immigration and many other areas of federal government. As a former nurse her background in medicine helps to get to the bottom of medical concerns that the veterans, seniors and Medicare constituents may have.
