Alamance Caswell Granville Person Rockingham

Undoubtedly we all have friends or relatives that have been called up for active duty, during this time of international conflict. I have made available a web site of useful links to services and information for our military reservists -- Reservist Support Center.

Please know my offices can help you locate federal grants, order a flag to be flown over the Capitol, issue Congressional greetings, and plan your trip to Washington, DC.

College students are encouraged to take advantage of my internship program in one of my Congressional offices. Also, I am honored to nominate standout students from the Thirteenth District to our service academies.

While the Reidsville Soup Kitchen has been serving folks in Rockingham County for almost 15 years, they failed to keep their 501-C3 certification up to date.

Earlier this year, they received a generous $10,000 grant from the Betsy Penn Foundation, but ran into a problem -- they could not receive the funds until their charity was 501-C3 certified.

In dire need of the grant, they contacted my office to help expedite their re-certification.

After a few telephone calls and letters to the IRS the soup kitchen received their certification a week later.

Thanks to the Betsy Penn Foundation, the Reidsville Soup Kitchen can continue to serve their community with distinction.

While I cannot guarantee a positive outcome, my office may be able to help your charity or organization with grant information and certification.
