Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr. announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $675,000 to the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. The funding has been provided to assist the hospital with damages it sustained from Hurricane Rita
“In receiving additional funding to repair its facilities, the staff at the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital can devote more resources to their most important mission – continued care for their patients,” said Boustany.
Funding from this grant will go towards repairs to buildings, labs, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across the facility.
