My colleagues and I in the Senate offer this site as a way to enhance the public's ability to learn about their representatives and more actively participate in their government. We are pleased to present this site and its wide array of tools that can be extremely valuable in keeping you up to date on Senate activities and operations.

Our web site has a new, redesigned
Senators page that provides additional information about our members and their districts, including links to their individual web sites.

The New York State Senate web site also offers a
Senate Kids Page, which provides a fun way for kids to learn about the legislative process in New York State. The Senate Kids Page includes educational games and puzzles, fun facts about New York State Government, and activities like making your own Senate post card, earning a Senate Homework “Resolution", and participating in a Senate session.

Another useful feature is
SenNet TV, an online broadcast of the day's Legislative Session, live from the historic Senate Chamber. By broadcasting the debate of legislation on the Senate Floor, SenNetTV allows New Yorkers a first hand view of their government at work.

As the world's technological capabilities continue to grow, we in government have a greater opportunity to reach out to all New Yorkers so that they will be able to play an increasingly larger role in the development of our state.

It is our hope that this web site will prove to be an invaluable resource to you so that you may not only learn about the Senate but provide us with your input as well. I invite you to take full advantage of this site so we can continue to work together towards a better New York.

Senator Joseph L. Bruno
