Marshals Service to Visit Fort Smith
Senior Group to Look at City for National Museum

Fort Smith, Ark., Nov 9 - U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, and U.S. Representative John Boozman are assisting with a visit by several officials representing the U.S. Marshals Service, as part of the city’s effort to be selected as the site for the U.S. Marshals Service national museum.

The group comprised of active-duty and retired Marshals, Chief Deputies, and historians, will be in Fort Smith beginning November 13.

The visiting officials will be available for media interviews during a reception on Wednesday, November 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Attending the reception will be many local and regional officials who support having the national museum in Fort Smith.

Lincoln, Pryor and Boozman have been working with the City of Fort Smith on this project since early 2004.
