U.S. Capitol Tours

The Capitol Guide Service has resumed unscheduled, walk-up tours every 15 minutes on Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. Tour lines form beyond the East Front Plaza and are conducted by the Capitol Guide Service in groups of 40 or less.

If you are looking for a more personal tour of the Capitol, my staff can be of assistance if arrangements are made in advance of your trip. Please call Hayden Pruett in my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-4301 to schedule a staff-lead tour of the Capitol.

House and Senate Galleries are open when the Chambers are in session. You can sit in the galleries to watch the debate by obtaining a free pass from my office. Please stop by my Washington, D.C. to obtain gallery passes.

White House Tours

Congressional tours of the White House are available Tuesday-Saturday from 7:30 am -11:30 am. Time slots are choosen by the White House.

Please note that White House tours are completely at the discretion of the White House Visitor's Office. I will do my best to secure a reservation for you and your party, but again, the White House makes the ultimate decision on tours of the building.

In order for the White House Visitors Office to consider any tour requests I submit, your information needs to be in my office at least one and a half months in advance of the tour. The required security information is Social Security number, date of birth and full name as it appears on ID for all members of your party.

Supreme Court Tours

Supreme Court tours are given at 2:00 p.m. Monday-Friday when the court is not in session. My office can attempt to schedule a tour for you if you contact Hayden Pruett in Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-4301 at least one month in advance of your trip.

Each Congressional office is limited to two total bookings per day per office, and a maximum of four guests per day.

Due to official court business, tours may be cancelled at any time and latecomers cannot be accommodated.

The Court is open to the public 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Public tours are given on a first-come, first-served basis from 9:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m., every thirty minutes on the hour, every weekday the court is not sitting.

Holocaust Memorial Museum Tours

The Holocaust Memorial Museum is open from 10am - 5:30pm daily except for Christmas Day and Yom Kippur.

No passes are necessary for entering the building, special exhibitions, the interactive Wexner Learning Center, and other Museum resources.

Timed passes are necessary for visiting the Permanent Exhibition – The Holocaust – and can be obtained at the museum on the day of your visit or in advance from my office. Please call Hayden Pruett in my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-4301 to obtain timed passes.

Groups of more than 10 people submit written or electronic requests with a minimum of four weeks to a maximum of one year in advance of proposed visits. There has to be one adult for every seven students.

It is recommended that only those over 11 years of age visit the Permanent Exhibit – The Holocaust.

National Archives

The National Archives building is undergoing a major renovation and most of the building is closed to the public.

However, tours of the new Resource Room are available. These tours are offered at 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. and generally last 90 minutes. Reservations must be made in advance.

Library of Congress

Congressional tours of the Library of Congress are held Monday-Friday at 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. Arrangements must be made at least two weeks in advance of your visit for a staff-arranged tour. Public tours are held Monday-Friday at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3 pm. Tours are also available on Saturday from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.
