My office can request that an American flag be flown over the U.S. Capitol at your request, and then sent to you with a printed certificate of authentication.

There is no limit on the number of flags you may order. Flags can be purchased in multiple sizes. All flags are sold at cost and take approximately 4-6 weeks for delivery, depending on the availability of inventory.

A certificate of authenticity accompanies all flags flown over the Capitol. Flags may be flown for a particular person, event, or organization, and may be flown on a specific date. If you request multiple flags, they will all be flown on the same date and shipped at the same time. If you need flags flown on different dates, you must submit separate order requests for each separate date to fly the flags.

Here's an example of what a certificate accompanying the flag might say:

This flag was flown for John Smith in recognition of his retirement from teaching after 40 years of dedicated service.

We cannot accept credit cards or cash; so all flag transactions require a check. Please use the order form to specify the flags and certificate information you want, then print the resulting order request for mailing. Mail to address on the printed form, to our Corpus Christi office. You may also buy flags directly from the district offices. Flags that have been flown on non-specific dates - and flags that have not been flown - can be purchased at district offices. But for a flag to be flown on a certain day, the request must go through the Washington office (via the Corpus Christi mailing address).
