Senator Dodd Supports Striking Sikorsky Workers

Senator Dodd and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal support striking Sikorsky workers.

February 24, 2006
Senator Dodd visited Sikorsky International in Stratford to show his support for the more than 3,500 members of Teamsters local 1150 who went on strike at Sikorsky Aircraft. The workers are striking in opposition to the company’s proposal to sharply increase health insurance premiums. Earlier this week Senator Dodd wrote a letter to Sikorsky President, Stephen Finger, asking that management agree to return to the bargaining table to consider alternative proposals put forth by the employees.
