Information Collection
This office will not obtain personally identifying information about
you when you visit this website unless you choose to provide us with
such information, either through a website form or via e-mail. Occasionally,
this office will forward letters with personal information from constituents
to their Representative's office. This is done as a courtesy to other
Members of Congress to allow them to build a relationship with their
community. In this case, we retain no information from that letter.
Otherwise, this office shares the information you give us with another
government agency only if your inquiry relates to that agency, or as
required by law. We do not distribute or give any information to any
private organizations or use it for commercial marketing.
The U.S. House of Representatives computer system uses
software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for website
planning and maintenance, determining technical design specifications,
and analyzing system performance. For security purposes, and to ensure
that this service remains available to all users, this computer system
employs software programs to monitor network traffic, to identify unauthorized
attempts to upload or change information, to cause damage, or to deny
service to authorized users.
For site management purposes, this system collects a variety
of information including: browser type, originating domain address (e.g.,
aol.com), page locations visited, and other miscellaneous site references.
Except for authorized law enforcement investigations and as stated above,
no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage
habits. This office does not collect or create cookies. When you use
a link on this website to go to another website, our privacy policy
no longer applies. If you wish to know the privacy policy of the website
where you are going, please contact the webmaster of that website.
