Understanding the Form's Edit and Submit Modes

Forms have two states; the Edit mode and the Filing mode. When a form is downloaded from the Clerk’s website, it is in Edit mode. You can create templates and complete the form in this state.

Finishing the Form Complete process will change the form to Filing Mode. In this mode, the form can be signed and submitted electronically.

You can determine the state of your form by reviewing the buttons that are available when you are working on it. In Edit mode, the blue buttons to add additional data or go to Form Completed are visible. In Filing mode, the File With House and File With Senate buttons are visible. To return to edit mode, press the Edit Form button, found next to the signature line.
