WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) announced today the a $30,000 federal appropriation is now on its way to the Gadsden City School system. The money will be used to add technology-related equipment to Litchfield High School. The school is a magnet school for math, science and technology subjects.
"We've already set high standards for our students," said Congressman Aderholt. "This equipment will help them meet those standards. Students, teachers and other faculty members should benefit greatly from this funding. In today's world, technology is at the heart of all subjects."
The initiative is part of a $360,000 appropriation for a dozen school systems in the Fourth Congressional District.
The money will be used for one-time expenses for technology related equipment.
The funding was included in the 2002 Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations bill.
