The Committee on Government Reform is the main investigative committee
in the U.S. House of Representatives. It has jurisdiction to investigate
any federal program and any matter with federal policy implications.

Special
Investigations Division
In 1998, Rep. Waxman formed the Special Investigations Division
of the minority staff to conduct investigations into issues that
are important to the minority members of the Government Reform Committee
and other members of Congress.
