MARTINEZ APPLAUDES OPENING OF REGIONAL CITIZENSHIP & IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN ORLANDO

November 3, 2006 -

Washington, DC -

U.S. Senator Mel Martinez today applauded the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announcement of the realignment of the Agency’s regional offices, establishing the Southeast Regional office in Orlando, Florida.

“This new office signals the government’s commitment to providing constituents with accessible and efficient citizenship and immigration services,” Martinez said.

The Orlando office will be responsible for managing all district and field offices in the southeast region of the United States. It does not affect the locations of or the services offered at local USCIS district offices.
