One of my most important duties as a Congresswoman is to help
local constituents and organizations deal with the federal
government. And no area is more important than helping individuals
and organizations find federal grants to fund important local
community projects. However, the federal budget is limited and
obtaining a grant is very competitive. That’s why I want to help
out as much as I can.
Please feel free to contact my office for help in finding
available federal grants. In order to find the most appropriate
places to apply, my office will request that you submit a
description of your organization, a description of the proposed
project needing funding, and complete contact information, including
name, address, phone and fax numbers for us to follow up with you.
The primary source that our office uses to find federal grants is
the Catalog
of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA). The CFDA is a
government-wide compendium of federal programs, projects, services
and activities which provide assistance or benefits to the American
public. It contains financial and nonfinancial assistance programs
administered by departments and establishments of the federal
government.

Another important publication is the Federal Register which is
published daily, Monday through Friday, by the Office of the Federal
Register, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington,
D.C. 20408. The Federal Register provides a uniform system for
making available to the public regulations and legal notices issued
by federal agencies. These include Presidential proclamations and
Executive Orders and federal agency documents having general
applicability and legal effect, documents required to be published
by acts of Congress and other federal agency documents of public
interest. Click on the Federal
Register for access.
