GRANTS and FEDERAL FUNDING

Below is a list of helpful links for receiving federal funding for a project. While these links will hopefully be of assistance, if you are looking to receive federal funding for a program or project, please contact one of my offices. My staff is trained to assist organizations, local governments and individuals in navigating the process of receiving grants and funding, and they look forward to helping you any way they can.

Congressional Research Service Summary of Grant Proposal Development:          This report offers suggestions for finding appropriate sources of Federal and private project funding. It describes major components of the written grant proposal and gives basic guidelines for developing, organizing, and writing the proposal.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance - Find the address and telephone number of the federal department/agency office in your state or region.

Developing and Writing Grant Proposals - Information on writing grant proposals from the Office of Planning and Evaluation of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Federal Commons - A grants management portal serving the grantee organization community from the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance.

Federal Funding Report - House Information Resources (HIR) biweekly newsletter summarizing recent grants-related announcements appearing in the Federal Register.

Grants and Contracts on the Web - HIR's resource page of other Internet sites for funding sources such as foundations, charities, and corporations. Funding information includes scholarships, computer donations for schools, and disaster assistance.

NonProfit Gateway - Federal government information and services for non-profit organizations.

Notices of Funding Availability (via Department of Agriculture) - Notices of Funding Availability are announcements that appear in the Federal Register, printed each business day by the United States government, inviting applications for Federal grant programs.

Office of Management & Budget Grants Management - Working cooperatively with the grantmaking agencies and the grantee community, OMB develops governmentwide policy to assure that grants are managed properly and that Federal dollars are spent in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. OMB does not award grants.

Official Federal Government Web Sites - Develop better grant proposals by learning more about a department or agency's programs.
