In commemoration of September 11, 2001, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez met with students at Paul Revere Elementary in Anaheim to discuss how Congress was working to keep America safe from future acts of terrorism.

Sanchez recalled the tragic day and how Congress responded to the catastrophe. She also emphasized how the country came together to help the victims and families of those killed.

“Our first responders, both police and fire, showed great courage during our country’s greatest time of need. These are local heroes in our community,” said Sanchez. “People forgot their differences and prayed for the safety of those injured, the missing, those who died and the families affected.”

Sanchez also toured the newly renovated school that was funded by the Measure BB Anaheim City School Bond. Infrastructure improvements include electrical, heating, air conditioning and plumbing. Paul Revere now has 30 additional classrooms, a state-of-the-art computer lab and a new library.
