Rep. Holden Greets PA Participants of the American Cancer Society's Celebration on the Hill

Over 10,000 people hailing from all 50 states gathered on Capitol Hill to celebrate cancer survivorship and urge Congress to make cancer a national priority. Congressman Holden joined the Pennsylvania ambassadors to proudly express his strong commitment towards defeating cancer.

Signing the ACS Congressional Cancer Promise, Congressman Holden renews his commitment to elevate prevention, early detection and survivorship, and to increase the nation’s commitment to research and expand access to care.

Standing aside the Lebanon County portion of the Wall of Hope, Congressman Holden pays tribute to all those who succumbed to their battle with Cancer.   Serving as a national monument to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers, the Wall of Hope  was constructed from 5,000 banners adorned with several hundred thousand signatures and messages of  nationwide support. If laid end-to-end, the banners would rise to a height 85 times that of the Washington Monument.


Congressman Holden Helps Keep Susquehanna Township Schools Safe Through COPS Grant

Representative Holden presents Susquehanna Township officials with a grant towards improving school security.

Congressman Tim Holden secured $21,783 in federal funding for the Township of Susquehanna. The Grant was awarded through the Community Oriented Policing (COPS) Secure Our Schools Program and intends to assist schools in improving security through metal detectors, locks, lighting, or general training programs. 


   Rep. Holden Tours Dauphin County Farms On the Dauphin County Farm Bureau Bus Tour

On August 21st, 2006, Congressman Tim Holden spent the day touring various farms in the Dauphin County area with the Dauphin County Farm Bureau Bus Tour. Along the tour he visited Valley Ag and Turf in Halifax, PA and the Upper Dauphin Grain Center in Elizabethville, PA.

Congressman Holden Announces Federal Funding Secured for Newmanstown Fire Co.

Rep. Holden presents a check to the Newmanstown Fire Company.

Congressman Tim Holden secured $43,239 in federal funding for the Newmanstown Fire Company.
