Results Officials at the Formal Opening of New Results Call Center; Announces An Additional 50 New Jobs

(Stuart, Virginia) - U.S. Representative Rick Boucher, whose Showcasing Southwest Virginia program brought The Results Company to Stuart, participated today in the formal opening of the customer service center at Stuart's Rich Creek Corporate Park. Operations will begin this afternoon. The company will ultimately employ 175 individuals. Boucher also announced today that 50 additional jobs will be created at this location by Results. "The opening of the new state-of-the-art Results Center, which we celebrate today, is excellent news for our region, and will enrich the lives of many residents while providing a welcome diversification of the local economy," said Boucher.

The Results Company is a nationwide provider of customer support services for Fortune 500 clients in the telecommunications, insurance and financial sectors. In August Results, at the urging of Congressman Boucher, announced its intention to place a new call center at the Rich Creek Corporate Park and hire and certify 65 individuals as License Insurance Agents to provide support for a major health insurance company. Results was so impressed with the initial workforce that on September 18 it announced plans to hire a total of 125 rather than the 65 originally anticipated. As of today, Results has hired 72 employees and intends to hire 110 by the end of this year.

The 72 newly hired employees will begin work today as Licensed Insurance Agents and in other customer support positions in order to provide customer support services for a major healthcare insurance company dedicated to government-sponsored health plans such as Medicare, Medicaid, State Children's Health Insurance Programs. The company has recently signed a contract with Results to help support its network of more than 25,000 physicians and nearly 50,000 pharmacies, serving three quarters of a million individual beneficiaries in seven states.

"The individuals who begin work today as Licensed Insurance Agents will be providing a service unique to our area at a higher level of pay than is traditionally expected in the customer service industry," said Boucher.

The position of Licensed Insurance Agent pays in excess of ten dollars per hour, and all jobs will offer a competitive wage, greater than the industry norm for call centers, and medical and dental insurance after 180 days of employment.

Boucher also announced today that Patrick County has proved to be such an excellent environment for the Results Companies that Results is placing a second client in this facility that will create the additional 50 jobs, for a total of 175 Results jobs in Patrick County. These new positions will be customer service representatives handling in-bound work for a major national telecommunications company.

"The additional 50 jobs being announced today represent an excellent professional employment opportunity for citizens throughout the region. I am pleased that Results continues to recognize the outstanding workforce available to them in Patrick County," Boucher concluded.

"As we open the new Results center this afternoon and announce the creation of 50 additional new jobs, I would like to thank Congressman Boucher for introducing Results to Patrick County and helping to achieve the success we celebrate today," said Results President Robert Rapp. "Our company has benefited greatly from excellent workforce in Patrick County and Southwest Virginia, and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership."

Individuals interested in working in one of the new positions with Results should contact the Virginia Employment Commission at 276 632-3023.
