Welcome to the official website for Florida's 21st Congressional District. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring issues important to you to the forefront of policymaking in the United States Congress.
During my time in Congress, I have successfully tackled issues such as tax relief for hard working American families, significant education reform, transportation funding, protection for the Everglades, and bringing common sense and discipline to the federal budget. I am continuing to work on such important matters as keeping Americans safe at home and abroad, affordable healthcare , sound immigration policy, and the expansion of freedom and democracy to those who remain oppressed.
As a member of the House Rules Committee I have worked diligently to ensure fairness in defining the terms of debate for all major legislation which has reached the House Floor for votes by the full House of Representatives. Serving on the House Rules Committee has also enabled me to oversee and impact those issues that are most important to South Florida.
