Throughout my tenure in Congress, my professional staff and I have relied on bright and energetic interns from throughout New Hampshire and New England. Therefore, I am always seeking Legislative Interns for my Washington, D.C. office for the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. All students who are in their senior year of high school or in college are invited to apply. If you are from New Hampshire or New England, you are especially encouraged to inquire about this unique opportunity. Internships are unpaid, but can involve academic credit arranged through your school. Intern responsibilities include assisting and responding to constituents, legislative research, some clerical work, and general assistance to myself and my congressional staff. Furthermore, legislative interns also have the opportunity to follow federal legislation, attend committee hearings, observe the U.S. House of Representatives, and learn first-hand about the political process while working in the heart of Capitol Hill. If you are interested in an internship, you should immediately send a resume, cover letter, and brief (1-3 pages) writing sample to:
Representative Charles F. Bass To start the review process, please fill out and submit the internship application below. In addition to submitting this application electronically, you should print out and mail this information -- or the same information in another format -- and all supporting materials to my Washington, D.C. office in order to ensure that the processing of your application can be completed. For further information, please contact my Washington office.
