Pelosi Appoints Capuano as Head of the Day-to-Day Transition for House Democrats

Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today the appointment of Congressman Michael Capuano of Massachusetts as the head of the day-to-day transition for House Democrats.

“Mike Capuano is an expert in the rules and procedures of both the Democratic Caucus and the House.  His knowledge, experience, and leadership will be invaluable during the Democratic transition into the majority,” said House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi.  “I look forward to working with him in the coming weeks as Democrats prepare to restore civility, integrity, and bipartisanship to the House of Representatives.”

As the Chair of the Committee on Organization, Study and Review, which analyzes the rules of the House Democratic Caucus and recommends changes, Capuano is well prepared to handle Democrats’ transition to the majority.
