Washington, D.C. – Congressman Al Green (TX-9) will host an event with the National Fair Housing Alliance tomorrow to enable members of Congress, Congressional staff, and others interested in fair housing issues to learn more about fair housing programs and their importance to American communities.  In spite of the passage of the Federal Housing Act almost 40 years ago, more than 4 million fair housing violations still occur annually.  The reception will specifically highlight the importance of fair housing education and enforcement in increasing housing choice and home ownership.
