Shaw Travels to Middle East with Congressional Delegation

Washington, Aug 7 -

U.S. Representative Clay Shaw (R-FL) is currently traveling in the Middle East region on a Congressional Delegation (CODEL) trip led by U.S. Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL). The delegation’s itinerary includes visits to Iraq and Israel to assess the current situation.

Shaw left for the Middle East on Saturday and visited with American troops at an air base in Qatar. He has also traveled to Iraq where he met with military leaders and troops at Balad Air Base.

The delegation will also meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to discuss current hostilities. They will present the Prime Minister with the resolution passed by the House of Representative condemning Hezbollah’s unprovoked attacks on Israel and supporting Israel’s unquestionable right to defend itself. The House passed resolution is attached.
