Kevin Arnhold of Hutchinson Concludes Internship for Moran

HUTCHINSON - Congressman Jerry Moran today announced that Kevin Arnhold of Hutchinson has concluded a congressional internship in his Hutchinson office. Arnhold is a 2003 graduate of Trinity Catholic High School.

"I place a high value on the experiences that young people can receive by working in a congressional office," Moran said. "I was pleased to have Kevin further his experience and work on behalf of Kansans."

Arnhold is a senior at Emporia State University, where he is pursuing a bachelor's in economics with a minor in business. At Emporia State, he is captain of the Emporia State Tennis team and has been named to the honor roll the past three years. Arnhold was the 2006 ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award winner, named 2006 all-conference in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) in singles, and made the 2005-2006 MIAA all-conference academic team. He plans to attend graduate school beginning next year.

"This was a good learning experience for me and a great opportunity to get a better understanding of how our government works," Arnhold said. "This has made me more aware of state, national and world events and how they affect the day-to-day workings of our government."

In the office, Arnhold assisted Congressman Moran with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Kansas.

Kevin is the son of Tom and Joleen Arnhold of Hutchinson.
