Moran Statement on the Death of Jessie Davila of Greensburg

GREENSBURG - Congressman Jerry Moran today offered a statement on the death of Specialist Jessie Davila, 29, of Greensburg. Davila died on February 20 in Iraq when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Davila was a member of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 137th Infantry of the Kansas Army National Guard.  

"The Davila family is in my prayers," Moran said. "Kansans are blessed to have soldiers like Jessie who serve on the front lines on our behalf to protect our country and our way of life. We owe our deepest thanks to this brave citizen-soldier. Jessie's sacrifice will not be forgotten."
