Academy Nominations

My service academy information page is designed to make Pennsylvania's students aware of the tremendous opportunities that our service academies offer to them. Additionally, this page will allow interested students to gain a better understanding of the process involved in obtaining a nomination.

Each year my office receives hundreds of applications from every part of Pennsylvania. It is encouraging that so many young men and women are eager to serve our nation. Because a Member of Congress can nominate only ten individuals per year to each academy, this process is extremely competitive. Those fortunate young men and women are truly among the finest Pennsylvania has to offer.

Please take a few moments to review the information provided in this page. I hope you will find it helpful, and it inspires you to consider a career serving in America's armed services. I look forward to learning about your character, achievements, and special talents.

Getting Started

Prior to starting the application process through my office, you must contact your service academy of choice and request that a pre-candidate file be initiated on your behalf.
