I take great pride in the opportunity to nominate young men and women as Candidates to the United States Military Academy at West Point, United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Nominations are not needed to the Coast Guard Academy. However, my Service Academy Coordinator will assist with any information requested. The following is a brief outline of the Senator's Academy Nomination Process along with a Service Academy Questionnaire. Only those students who claim Oklahoma as their permanent residence may apply. To initiate a file, interested individuals must send a letter of interest and a copy of the completed application (provided by the Senate office or available for download from this page on 1 August) to:

My response will indicate that the candidate must supply:
Official high school and official college transcripts
Either an Official SAT or ACT score report, or both
Two page, handwritten essay "Why I want to attend a Service Academy."
Three letters of recommendation

The deadline for completion of the file is October 15 of that calendar year.
After the October 15th deadline, each person who has met all the requirements will be personally interviewed by members of my Academy Nomination Board. personally interview each candidate. Board members take into consideration that information submitted by the student as well as the information gained through the interview process. Candidate interviews, information, and scores will be taken into consideration in earning my available nominations.
