As chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management, Dr. Coburn holds regular hearings to examine the efficiency of the federal government. Dr. Coburn firmly believes Congress must provide oversight of the federal budget to ensure taxpayer dollars are used as effectively as possible.
