RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY OF THE CHARLES A GONZALEZ
 SENIOR COMMUNITY RESIDENCE

(San Antonio, Tx) Tomorrow morning, Congressman Charles Gonzalez will help the Avenida Guadalupe Association (AGA) cut the ribbon for “The Charles A Gonzalez Senior Community Residence.”  Founded in 1979, the AGA has pursued its mission to provide improved and affordable housing for residents on the West Side of San Antonio.  The AGA is guided by the principle that homeownership will strengthen the Hispanic community and San Antonio.  A 2002 Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant enabled the AGA to build their third senior housing project, “The Charles A. Gonzalez Senior Community Residence.”  This facility will have 60 residential units, complies with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), and features amenities such as geriatric/respite care centers, professional on site medical and community services.
