WASHINGTON, DC – United States Senator John Sununu (R-NH) issued the following statement on the death of Manchester Police Officer Michael Briggs:

“Our law enforcement officers risk their lives on a daily basis for our safety. Officer Michael Briggs was no stranger to this duty, serving his country and community with bravery and courage until his tragic death. Kitty and I send our deepest condolences and prayers to his family and are keeping all the members of the Manchester Police Department foremost in our thoughts at this difficult time.”
