D.C. Tour Information

I am delighted to learn of your upcoming visit to our nation's Capital. After reading through the "Tours" section of my website, please feel free to contact my Tour Coordinator, Lisa White, at 202/225-3001 to ask any questions, receive information on our congressional constituent tours as well as receive our "Guide to Our Nation's Capitol" booklet. The booklet contains ia wealth of information on various tourist sites and how to join regular public tours, especially when congressional reserved tours are booked.

Congressional constituent tours are similar to the general public tours, except that a special tour time is allotted to congressional offices by certain federal agencies. These specific times allow you to avoid waiting in line with the general public for first-come first-serve admission. Tickets are not necessary for the congressional constituent tours. The tours my office can try to schedule for you, if space is available, are as follows:

Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Capitol Building
Kennedy Center
Library of Congress
Supreme Court

Please note that tour requests and reservations are not guaranteed but are subject to space availability, agency regulations, session schedules and security precautions. Therefore, please be prepared with a "back-up" tour/activity plan should your tour request or reservation be unavailable, cancelled or denied.

Information on Congressional Tours of the White House:
Please note that the White House requires a 10-person group minimum in order to request a tour, which can only be done through our congressional office. Therefore, if you wish to take this tour and do not belong to an established group of 10 persons, we will not be able to process a White House tour request for you. The tour request must be submitted at least six weeks in advance and up to six months in advance for high-tourist seasons. A security background check and clearance required for each individual in the group, which must be submitted two weeks prior to a confirmed tour date.

Please click here if you are interested in any of the above tours; then, please print, fill out and fax this form to my Tour Coordinator Lisa White at 202/225-5974. Should my office regrettably not be able to schedule a specific tour for you, please click here for a copy of my General Public Tours schedule, which includes information on the various points of interest throughout your nation's Capital.

Thanks for visiting my website for your travel information, and have a great trip!

With warm regards,

Congressman Robert Wexler
