Nussle Votes to Prevent Terrorism
9/28/2006 - Congressman Jim Nussle today voted to protect our homeland by monitoring terrorists communicating with individuals in the United States. The Electronic Surveillance Modernization Act (H.R. 5825) passed the U.S. House on a bipartisan vote of 232-191.

Nussle Votes for Increased Border Security and Strict Enforcement of Immigration Laws
9/21/2006 - Congressman Jim Nussle today voted to combat illegal immigration by supporting three border security bills receiving broad bipartisan support in the U.S. House. Nussle Votes to Prevent Voter Fraud
9/20/2006 - Congressman Jim Nussle today voted for the Federal Election Integrity Act of 2006 (H.R. 4844) to uphold the integrity of the electoral process by preventing voter fraud in federal elections. The bipartisan legislation passed the House today on a vote of 228-196.

Strengthening America's Energy Security

legislation to lower gas prices!

The Independence from Oil With
Agriculture (IOWA) Act will strengthen our economy
and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
Key provisions in the IOWA Act
include:
Higher Renewable Fuels Standard
- Increases the RFS from 7.5 billion gallons to 12 billions
gallons - nearly a 60% increase - by 2012.
More
availability of E85 - Provides a permanent tax credit for
the installation of E85 tanks.
Tax credits to encourage
investment in renewable fuel production - Permanently
extends the following tax credits:
• Small Producer Tax
Credit
• Biodiesel Production
Tax Credit
• Renewable Energy
Income Tax Credit
