Columbia, Luzerne, Carbon, Lackawanna and Monroe counties are eligible for Public Assistance (assistance to state and local governments and certain nonprofit organizations for emergency work and the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged facilities.)
Additionally, all Pennsylvania counties are eligible to apply to the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (assistance to state and local governments for actions taken to prevent or reduce long-term risk to life and property from natural hazards.)

The flooding that occurred in late June in Northeastern Pennsylvania has caused a devastating amount of damage in parts of Columbia, Luzerne, Monroe, Lackawanna and Carbon counties.
