0:14-2:37                       ? Senator Lott congratulated Stennis Space Center in Hancock County for winning a contract valued at $230 million over 10 years. This contract could bring up to 500 jobs to Mississippi. Stennis, he said, is part of a budding aerospace industry in Mississippi which already includes: Northrop Grumman, Eurocopter, Lockheed Martin and Rolls-Royce facilities. Senator Lott said Mississippi was also selected as one of four sites being considered for a new Airbus large aircraft assembly plant.  

2:38-3:46                       ? Senator Lott said the entire Mississippi Congressional delegation has worked hard to ensure that Mississippi’s military bases have the most modern facilities and should not be considered for closure by the Base Realignment and Closure Commission. Senator Lott will work to focus on the realignment aspect of BRAC, a step that has helped Mississippi bases like Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi during past rounds.
