WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Sam Brownback today commended American men and women in uniform for their dedicated service to our country. “Every year I help send some of the best and brightest young Kansans to our country’s military academies. Many of the most brilliant people I have ever met wear military uniforms.” Brownback responded to recent controversial statements regarding the intelligence of the men and women serving in Iraq and elsewhere. “We owe a great debt of gratitude to all our men and women in uniform for their service to this nation.” Brownback serves on the Senate Appropriations Foreign Operations subcommittee.
