Must be between ages 17 and 23
Registered resident of Kansas
Single with no dependents
U.S. Citizen
Nomination:
Please contact the Senator’s Topeka office at 612 S Kansas Ave. in Topeka, Kansas 66603 in writing to request an application.
Deadline:
All materials must be sent, and the candidate's file complete by October 6, 2006.
Selection of Nominees:
The final nominees will be selected by a non-partisan Academy Nomination Committee. The committee members are all current or former military officers, who reside throughout the state of Kansas, and are alumni of the United States service academies.
Time line for Nominations:
The Academy Nomination Committee will convene in October, and interviews with nominees will take place in November. All candidates will be notified of their nomination status no later than December 31, 2006.
