Resources for Seniors
The roll-out of the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program is well underway. I remain concerned that this Program may not meet Seniors' prescription drug needs, but having said that, we must make the best of the situation. I hope the following resources and information will be helpful to Illinois' Seniors:
Important Dates for the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program:
11/15/05 |
Seniors can begin signing up. (Individuals can switch plans during the last 6 weeks of each year.) |
1/1/06 |
Coverage begins. |
5/15/06 |
Open enrollment ends. Seniors who sign up after this date will be charged a higher premium. |
