As a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and the son of a veteran, I am personally dedicated to looking out for the interests of all military personnel, active and retired, who call Texas home. The honor-bound agreement between our men and women in uniform and our nation does not end at retirement. No veteran should ever be forgotten.

We must ensure that veterans receive the health care, retirement pay, and disability benefits that they deserve.
I will work to improve the quality of life for all veterans. They have paid a debt to our country that we must not forgive or forget.
