Flag Requests My office can arrange the purchase of a United States flag that will be flown over the Capitol building to commemorate a special event or occasion such as an anniversary, wedding, or birthday. In addition to the flag, you will receive a certificate from the Architect of the Capitol stating the name of the person for whom the flag was flown, the occasion for which it was flown, and the date it was flown. To purchase a flag through my office: 1) Please download and complete a flag request form or contact my Congressional offices in El Monte (626) 448-1271, East Los Angeles (323) 907-3304, or Washington, D.C., (202) 225-5464 to obtain a form. 2) Send the completed form, with your check made payable to "Hilda L. Solis Office Supply Account," to: Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis Attn: Flag Request 4401 Santa Anita Ave., Suite 211 El Monte, CA 91731 You will receive a phone call from my Washington Office to verify your order.
