WHITE HOUSE
(Special Tours Only)
The
White House is the most
popular tourist attraction in town! It is also one of the hardest
attractions to get tickets for. Since the events of September 11,
2001, the White House has increased security measures and public
tours are no longer conducted. As a result, tickets for touring the
White House can only be attained through Congressional offices.
Because there is such a high demand for these tickets, the tours
fill up rather quickly. Although we go out of our way to make sure
that each constituent that calls our office is able to visit the
White House, it is advantageous that you make your plans well in
advance - preferably four to six months prior to your trip. School
group tour requests should at least six months in advance.
Our
telephone number in Washington is 202/225-2523.
And our address is 1013 Longworth House Office Building, Washington,
D.C. 20515.
Occasionally,
the White House is closed for official events, so you should call in
advance of your visit. Should you require additional information,
please do not hesitate to call our office at 202/225-2523.
