New York Post - Fighting For NYC: The King of Security

From New York Post:

FIGHTING FOR NYC:
THE KING OF SECURITY

June 7, 2006 -- THE ISSUE: Rep. Peter King defends New York in the recent cut to its terror-prevention funding.

In light of the latest Homeland Security gaffes, why don't the feds appoint Rep. Peter King as the head of that department ("Peter King's Questions," Editorial, June 2)?

As opposed to Secretary Michael Chertoff, who apparently doesn't know his knee from his elbow, King is well-informed as to what has to be done.

Let's get with it, President Bush. The world is having a good laugh at our expense.

Bush's wait-and-see stance is of no help in these perilous times.

King's fierce loyalty to this nation's Constitution is a plus, and he has the smarts for getting us back on track.
