Congressman Radanovich Receives Tax Fighter Award
10/25/06

WASHINGTON – Congressman George Radanovich (R-Mariposa) has been honored by the National Tax Limitation Committee with its 109th Congress “Tax Fighter Award.”

“Congressman Radanovich’s votes on tax and spending issues in the 109th Congress earned him an ‘A’ grade and the Tax Fighter Award,” NTLC President Lewis K. Uhler said.  “Congressman Radanovich has led the battle on behalf of taxpayers in his California district and across America to make the Bush tax cuts permanent; to eliminate the death tax; to provide incentives for private savings, investment and job creation; and to control the growth of federal spending.”

NTLC President Uhler also said the group looks forward to working with Congressman Radanovich in the 110th Congress to implement the line-item veto and other serious restraints on earmarks and other excessive spending and to move forward with additional pro-job, pro-growth fiscal policies and tax reforms.

“This award is a real honor because I firmly believe that it is important for Congress to spend tax dollars wisely,” Congressman Radanovich said.  “We must continue to keep taxes low and display fiscal discipline to help us maintain our strong economic growth.  I look forward to continuing to work with the National Tax Limitation Committee on legislation and policies that will limit taxes and spending.”
